The Feldenkrais method invites us into a rich and creative world of tactile-kinesthetic exploration and awareness. An awareness that helps us using ourselves more intelligently and increase our feeling of ease and general vitality.
The Awareness Through Movement® lessons ( ATM) – group classes – and Functional Integration® (FI) – individual lessons – are two complementary facettes/aspects of this teaching.
The method allows us, in a pleasant and creative way, to maintain and improve our physical fitness. It uses the nervous system ability to reorganize itself, and permanent change can be felt as
- relieve of chronic pain and muscle tension
- increased skills in sports and artistic activities
- respiratory freedom and more grace and ease in walking
- improved posture, balance, coordination and general well-being
The Feldenkrais method helps us discover movements that have been forgotten or excluded from our usual way of doing things. It allows us to transgress the boundaries occurred as a result of stress, injury, operation, – or simply to find new ways of walking, sitting, running, turning, getting up … The lessons make us feel the entire body with ever greater finesse, and are beneficial to everyone, regardless of age or physical condition.

The Feldenkrais method offers each person the opportunity to function at their best in all aspects of life.
It teaches us how each part of the body cooperates in any movement, and assist us in our daily actions, helping us to become more dynamic and physically and mentally available.
